About The Role
Baasthan Stays is looking for a responsible, friendly, and service-oriented individual to join our team as a Housekeeping & Guest Relations Host. The role involves managing day-to-day property upkeep, welcoming guests, assisting with basic food and beverage preparation, and ensuring every guest enjoys a clean, comfortable, and pleasant stay.
The Heart of Guest Experience: At Baasthan Stays, you will be the face of our property. From greeting guests with authentic warmth to ensuring sparkling clean rooms and serving morning tea, this role is critical to creating unforgettable stays.
DUTIES & DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
Scope of Work
1. Housekeeping & Property Maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas, kitchen, balconies, and common spaces.
- Clean and prepare rooms before guest check-in.
- Change bedsheets, pillow covers, towels, and other linen after guest check-outs.
- Ensure bathrooms, washbasins, mirrors, floors, and fixtures are properly cleaned and sanitised.
- Regularly sweep, mop, dust, and organise the property.
- Monitor cleaning supplies, toiletries, and essential household inventory.
- Inform management about maintenance issues, damages, or repair requirements.
2. Guest Welcome & Hospitality
- Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in.
- Help guests with luggage and basic property orientation.
- Explain room facilities, amenities, house rules, and available services.
- Assist guests during their stay and ensure their basic requirements are addressed.
- Maintain a polite, professional, and helpful attitude at all times.
3. Guest Communication & Call Handling
- Attend incoming guest calls and respond to basic enquiries.
- Handle guest queries regarding check-in, check-out, room facilities, directions, and property services.
- Coordinate with management regarding bookings, complaints, special requests, and escalations.
- Maintain proper communication with guests through phone calls and WhatsApp.
- Ensure no guest enquiry or complaint is left unattended.
4. Basic Food & Beverage Preparation
- Prepare basic beverages such as tea, coffee, lemon water, juices, and milkshakes.
- Prepare simple refreshments and basic breakfast items where required.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
- Ensure food items and kitchen supplies are stored properly.
- Follow basic food safety and hygiene practices.
5. Daily Property Operations
- Ensure the property is ready for scheduled guest arrivals.
- Coordinate room readiness and housekeeping requirements.
- Check basic amenities such as drinking water, toiletries, towels, and linen.
- Maintain a record of consumables and inform management when supplies need replenishment.
- Ensure lights, fans, ACs, appliances, and other basic facilities are switched off or secured when appropriate.
- Report lost and found items, guest concerns, and unusual incidents to management.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Polite, welcoming, and guest-friendly personality.
Basic cooking skills, particularly tea, coffee, shakes, and simple refreshments.
Understanding of household cleaning and hygiene.
Ability to manage daily responsibilities independently.
Basic smartphone usage and ability to handle calls and WhatsApp.
Honest, punctual, disciplined, and responsible.
Previous experience in hotels, homestays, guest houses, or hospitality will be an advantage.
